Pittsburgh Comicon: Pittsburgh, PA (OCT 12 & 13th, 2002/ www.PittsburghComicon.com)
This was a fun but slow convention. I enjoyed seeing Tom Savini, Buck Rogers, and Mike Kaluta...not to mention the many other artist and followers of the genre :) It was a great con for my comic book card collection cause I found many that I was missing :) They also had a discounted Lady Death statue that I couldn't resist picking up :)
Portugal hotelsI also had the pleasure to meet Damion of "Shattered Realm" comic and Robert writer of "Seasons of Rot" a collection of short stories. The con that will be happening in April is one of the biggest they have! Thousands of genre fans will swarm the isle ways of this thriving conclave! But that is in April...I will admit the show was very slow but these guys know what their doing :)
I also attended Tom Savini's Haunted House which I have to say was the best one I have EVER been to! I felt dizzy at times with the strobe lights and virtual tunnel! If your in the area drive the distance for this one! It's impressive!!
Well, stay tuned for the next con reviews :)

Cinema Wasteland: Strongville, OH (OCT 4-6th, 2002)http://www.cinemawasteland.com/)
Howdy folks!
Well, I just so happened to drop in on this conclave for the entire weekend. I didn't have a table but showed up just for fun of it! I was chilling with the guys from Horrorsource.com getting webcam shout-outs from Tom Savini, Michael Barryman, and Reggie Banister to open our online horror show 'One by One'. I have to say it was pretty funny cause no one could get the name of our show right! I asked each of them to say, "Your watching One by One the Kick-Ass Internet Horror Show"...well you have to stay tuned to the show to see exactly what they said. (GO TO: http://www.horrorsource.com )
It was totally awesome to see each of them again! One of the celebrites that attended, which I haven't had the pleasure of meeting before, was Connie Mason (62 Playmate, starred in '2000 Maniacs' and 'Blood Feast'). She was a sweet-heart! Of course I saw my usual friends Steve Sally and his dad selling old vintage movie posters. I couldn't help but grab the 21x28 of 'Horror Hotel' and 'How to Make a Monster' from them! The con was smaller and more intimate than what I am used to but I had a wonderful time! I stumbled upon William Castle's last film called 'Bug', playing in one of the small theaters, which was rediculously stupid! William what were you thinking?!? Well, Geof and Billy Bob, my Horrorsource buddies, made this weekend possible so I would like to give special thanks to them!
As for the con...? I recommend attending cause I am sure that you will have a great time! Well, for all you convention groupies I will see you at the next gathering! Take care and ciao!
